Spreading the Metagenomics word

We teamed up with colleagues from the South East Genomic Medicine Service to bring metagenomics to a new audience. Together we hosted a Genomics Festival for NHS colleagues from a wide range of specialities and disciplines from every corner of the UK.

Professor Jonathan Edgeworth from Guy’s & St Thomas’ was joined by Prof Judy Bruer from Great Ormond Street Hospital. They both shared details and updates about their metagenomic clinical services. Anna Aryee from the UK Health Security Agency then talked about the importance of metagenomics for national biosurveillance.
